GRANTS PROGRAM

Making a world of difference.

Grant Guidelines

Grant applications are accepted year-round from any non-profit in Cook County. Grant awards vary in size but are typically under $1,000. However. grant requests for up to $5,000 will be accepted. Grants will be awarded partially or in full until funds run out. Funding priority will be given to any projects or programs that:
  1. Reduce the prevalence of diabetes and improve quality of life for those diagnosed.
  2. Prevent avoidable blindness and improve quality of life for people who are blind and visually impaired.
  3. Ensure all community members have access to nutritious foods.
  4. Sustainably protect and restore our environment to improve the well-being of all communities.
  5. Help those affected by childhood cancer survive and thrive.
Requests outside of our focus areas will be considered. Funds can only be used for the specific request.  All or any portion not used accordingly must be returned. The lions may request your attendance at a meeting to give a short presentation about your program or organization. All organizations receiving funding will be required to submit a final report upon completion of their project. If a final report is not filed, the organization will not be eligible for future grants.
